Privacy policy
In effect from 4 November 2026.
Who we are
Real Deal CPA PC (Real Deal CPA) is a tax practice in Orange County, run by Andy Lam and Liz Hernandez. This policy covers this website: what it collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What you send us
The site asks a short set of questions before you book a call: how you found us, what you need help with, your situation, a range for your income and a range for the capital you have to invest, and your name and email address. Your mobile number is optional. We ask for it only so we can text you about your booking.
We use your answers to decide whether we are the right firm for you and to prepare for the call. The tax expert who takes your call reads them before you speak. They are saved in our client management software, GoHighLevel, together with a note of which answers sent you to which person. If you book from the calendar on the page that shows your result, the site also marks your record in GoHighLevel as booked.
We use anything else you send us, by email, phone or through the client portal, to reply to you and to do the work you ask for.
Tax documents
Please do not send tax returns, Social Security numbers or other tax documents through this website or by email. After you book, we give you a link to our secure client portal, TaxDome, and that is where documents go.
Texts and email
If you tick the box on the last question, we may send you up to four texts about booking your call. You do not have to tick it to book. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.
When you tick it, we keep a record of your agreement with your answers: when you gave it, the internet (IP) address it came from, and the wording you agreed to.
After you answer the questions, we may email you about the service you asked about. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and we stop when you use it.
Other companies’ services
Booking a call uses Calendly, which loads only when you choose to book. The site passes Calendly the name and email you gave, so you do not have to type them again. Calendly’s own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
The Client Login link and the link we give you after booking open TaxDome, our client portal, on its own website. This site sends nothing to TaxDome, and TaxDome’s own policy applies once you are there.
The site’s fonts, images, video and scripts are served from the site itself, so reading a page does not contact any other company unless you allow Google Analytics, described below.
Links to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and other sites take you to those sites, under their own policies.
Cookies and analytics
When you first visit, the site asks whether it may use Google Analytics. Nothing is counted unless you choose Allow. Your answer is saved in your own browser, not in a cookie, so the site does not ask again on every page.
If you allow it, Google Analytics records how the site is used: which pages you open, how far you scroll, how long each part of a page stays on screen, which links and buttons you press, which questions in the FAQ you open, how much of the film you watch, and which answers you choose in our questionnaire and how long each question takes. It also records the browser, type of device, rough location and the site that sent you, as Google Analytics does for every site. It does not receive your name, email address, phone number or anything you type into a box.
If you allow it, the site also remembers in your browser how you first came to it and how you most recently came: the search, ad or site that sent you, the page you landed on and the day. If you then answer our questionnaire, that goes with your answers to our records, so we know how you found us. Choosing Decline removes it.
Google Analytics sets two cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which let it recognize a returning browser and last up to two years. We have turned off Google’s advertising features for this site, so what Google Analytics collects here is not used to show you ads. Google’s own privacy policy describes how Google handles it.
You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings, in the site’s footer and just below. Choosing Decline after Allow removes the two cookies.
Calendly and TaxDome may set their own cookies once you open them. Their policies describe those.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the site treats it as a refusal: Google Analytics never loads, and the site does not ask.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the services named above, so they can do the work described there.
Children
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your choices
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email support@realdealcpa.com, write to us through the client portal, or reply to any email we have sent you. We will look in our client management software and our email for anything under your name.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will say so at the top of the page.
